Huabanliuyu: 3D rendering complete

Well it's almost done. Most of the assets are there, the last thing I'd say it needs is the background which hopefully shouldn't take too long. That however, might also need some work to accomodate for the higher amount of sky visible in the scene compared to the still image. Fortunately I have more confidence in a crisp image thanks to the painting skills I developed over the course of the year.

  1. Hey Mark - looking lovely! Re. the matte painting element, use of depth of field etc to blur it out and create an impressionist, hazier feel; everything is so crisp in your world, anything too obviously painterly will look odd; you might just try using a high-res skyscape photo, which you augment in Photoshop a little? Looking forward to seeing the result! I'm working on the course showreel this afternoon, so if by some amazing quirk of timing you can get it to me by 5pm today, I'll be able to slot you in and get it all signed off... if not, no probs, they can wait until after the weekend!

    1. I'll see what I can do about getting something up by 5 but I can't make guarentees. But I can see myself being done before this evening. So the way I see it I might only miss the deadline slightly.

  2. ... Alan has just appeared behind me and said the following "once you have your sky, you need to add a light-wrap in AE. You can find this on youtube etc. If not do a @Alan and I'll send you a link". He also said "It's looking nice!".
